What you need to know about Rwanda National Police stand (Expo 2024)

Rwanda National Police (RNP) is among about 500 exhibitors, including 329 Rwandans, at the 27th Rwanda International Trade Fair, which started on July 25, at Gikondo Expo Ground.


When you visit the RNP stand at the entrance of the Expo, you get detailed information on Fire and Rescue Brigade (FRB) and services offered by the department of Testing and Licensing. The department of Testing and Licensing will guide you on how to apply for driving tests especially those done at the Busanza based Automated Driving Test Centre in Kicukiro District.

It will also help you to track your driver\\\'s license if you registered it after passing the test or where you can pick it, and a lot more. The Fire and Rescue Brigade will give you basic knowledge and skills on how to prevent fire emergencies and how to use different firefighting equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire blanket, fire detectors, in case of fire outbreak.


While speaking at the official opening of the Expo on Tuesday, July 30, the RNP spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Boniface Rutikanga, said that this is one of the ways to take services closer to the people.

He added that there are security measures to ensure smooth movement of the big number of people visiting the Expo as well as the increased traffic flow.

\\\"Police officers have been deployed at the Expo, they work in shifts day and night to facilitate in security matters, including the security of goods at night and management of the traffic flow,\\\" ACP Rutikanga said.

He added that the Fire and Rescue Brigade has also stationed fire trucks at the Expo to respond in real time in case of fire outbreak.

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Prof. Jean Chrysostome Ngabitsinze said that the Expo has continued to attract more local and international exhibitors, including those showcasing Made in Rwanda products.


Jeanne Françoise Mubiligi, the chairperson of Private Sector Federation (PSF), said that Expo provides an opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their products and learn from producers from other countries.

Exhibitors at the 27th Rwanda International Trade Fair, are from 19 countries, including 12 from Africa and seven from Asia.
